Abstract

“Reports on the D^2S Agenda. In 2019, millions of young people took to the streets demanding ‘systems change not climate change.’ Their call echoes the words of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Special Report, which stated that ‘Limiting global warming to 1.5 °C would require rapid, far-reaching and unprecedented changes in all aspects of society’. Keeping the rise of global average temperature to well below two degrees Celsius will require cutting greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in half by 2030 and reaching net zero emissions by 2050.”
