“The CODES Roundtable, held on the side of the United Nations General Assembly, was co-organized by CODES co-champions German Environment Agency (UBA) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). It brought together countries and diverse stakeholders from Mongolia, Kenya, Norway, France, the private sector, science, Indigenous Peoples, and UN agencies who shared deep and varying perspectives on the ongoing efforts to leverage Artificial Intelligence to advance on Nature and Climate Action, as well as to reduce the environmental impact of AI. The session also provided an opportunity to have a ‘preview experience’ of the metaverse platform Maloca, prior to its official launch by the COP30 Presidency.”
